Myrrh - Scientific name (Commiphora molmol; Commiphoramyrrha)
Parts used: Oleogum resin (mix of gum and resin)
Main Actions:
Astringent (causes constriction of mucous membranes)
Anti-microbial (inhibits and/or destroys microorganisms)
Anti-bacterial (inhibits and/or destroys bacteria)
Anti-inflammatory
Vulnerary (promotes wound healing when used on the skin)
Anthelmintic (kills or expels intestinal worms)
Lymphatic (stimulates the lymph system to assist detox and enhance immunity)
Warnings:
Don’t ingest if you are pregnant
Don’t use internally for more than a month
Some people may have an allergic response when used on the skin. (dermatitis etc.)
